Most of my work focuses on nature, but in the way that humans and their habitats are a part of nature like any other animal. Even when it seems like a piece is focused on a different creature, there is often a human lurking right offscreen.

This is also reflected in, and informed by, my "other" career in sustainable food system development and housing affordability. I also live in a house that my partner and I built with our own hands, an intensive act of habitat creation that also allowed me to exercise some creative touches.

I dabble in a variety of media, but most often find myself coming back to clay and nonferrous metals. While I occasionally work large, I am really drawn to more intimate objects. I love functional objects, and I also love "nonfunctional" objects.

I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2013 from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, although I then spent over a decade working in the nonprofit sector without significant studio practice. I also have a Bachelor of Arts from Tufts University in Architectural Studies and Community Health, and a Masters of Environmental Law and Policy from Vermont Law School.
